The Heckler line has been a staple of the Santa Cruz line for years now. The Santa Cruz Heckler 2009 Mountain Bike Frame is a strong but light frame to be able to handle the roughest mountain while not weighing you down on the climb.
The geometry has been improved to have a 140mm fork but can fit a 170mm fork. All of this comes with a burly 15mm main pivot that has a lifetime bearing guarantee. The rear has a 5.9 inch rear travel with allowance for 8 inch brake rotors.
You also have a clean replaceable derailleur hanger with recessed threaded shock mounts. This all comes out to a package that will be the heart of your bike for years. This all comes with a price tag that is much less than many frames that don’t meet the quality that the Santa Cruz Heckler provides. You will be smiling as you dominate the mountain.
