BMC TrailFox TF02 – £1,350

The BMC Traiflox is meant to master the mountain. The BMC’s Virtual Pivot System suspension keeps on a 71 degree head angle and a 73 degree seat angle. When going down the slope you feel right inline and ready to go. Once you are on a steep up climb you will notice how much easier it feels from usual. This is because of the low leverage ratio and the isolation from the pedal-induced motion.

The BMC Trailfox weighs in at 28.5 pounds for the 17 frame which makes it a tad heavier. With the efficient pedaling it makes you never had the weight. The bike is also very stiff giving you optimal controlling. At times you will think that you are riding a racer. The TrailFox’s unique design with the shock residing in front of the seat tube allows you to enjoy a super smooth ride. All of this rides perfectly well on a Shimano/Alex wheel set on Sun Rims.

The bottom line is the BMC Trailfox TF02 is a bike that excels in providing a smooth well handled bike to get you through the most difficult trails.
